We’ve scrupulously recorded 1,930 24bit original samples from the Elektron Model:Cycles to bring a uniquely fresh set of drum kits & synth patches to Reason.

The Model:Cycles is the perfect antidote to overused 808 & 909 samples - bringing you depth, fatness and punch with a distinctively alternative flavour.

We’ve captured all the nuance of the Elektron Model:Cycles both perfectly clean and via vintage outboard effects, with velocity layering, round-robins and subtle variations.

Highly Dynamic - Layer Upon Layer Of Punchy Goodness

What’s round-robins? For example, you’ll find hi-hats and snares made up of layers of subtly tweaked sounds so successive hits trigger slightly different sounding samples - where the colour, shape, sweep and contour are slightly tweaked from one hit to the next. Elsewhere there’s velocity-mapped patches where harder hits trigger samples with longer decays - eg. with kicks you’ll often find velocity takes you from tight punch through to longer deep booms. This way you get living, breathing drum tracks and much of the dynamic joy offered by the real thing.
